On July 25, 2022, the Department of Labor and Employment Agusan del Norte Field Office (DOLE ADNFO) witnessed the turnover ceremony of livelihood assistance for the projects Bangus Production on High-Density Polyethylene (HDPE) Norwegian Fish Cage (Feed Component).

Tolosa Fisherfolks Association and Cabadbaran City Deputized Fish Wardens Association received livelihood aid amounting to P1,000,000.00 through LGU Cabadbaran City as Accredited Co-Partner.

The two (2) associations are composed of eighty (80) members working to fill the unsatisfied demand and the mounting shortage of supply for milkfish (bangus) to the domestic and international market.

Amo ni paningkamutan na mulambo pa aron sa mga umaabot aduna gehapon ma harvest na bangus,” a shared statement from the chairman of Tolosa Fisherfolks Association and Cabadbaran City Deputized Fish Wardens Association, Mr. Eduardo Escobia and Mr. Rodolfo G. Barlaba.

During the event, DOLE ADNFO Head Keith C. Duran expressed his gratitude to Cabadbaran City Mayor Hon. Judy Chin Amante, the Barangay Council, and the beneficiaries for sharing their time and effort in making the event a success.

The implementation of DOLE’s Kabuhayan program is in line with the department’s goal of providing employment, promoting entrepreneurship and developing a sustainable community enterprise through convergence.
