Agusan del Sur—The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) Caraga represented by DOLE Agusan del Sur Field Office Provincial Head Jocelyn L. Bastareche recently released last August 2 a 446 thousand-worth of check for the provision of Canteen and Consumer Store livelihood project to the Provident Tree Farms Inc. Employees Union-SPFL (PTFIEU-SPFL) through their President, Mr. Leonardo P. Rementiza. The turn-over ceremony was attended by the 97 members of the Union at DOLE-ADS Provincial Office.

Thank you for this opportunity that you granted to us. This Canteen and Consumer Store livelihood projects will be of great help to the family of our members,”  Rementiza said.

Ms. Bastareche emphasized the incomparable cooperation of the (PTFIEU-SPFL) to all activities and Programs of DOLE most especially to the Union president who always seeks and finds ways to help his local officers and members.

The livelihood assistance is part of the DOLE-Integrated Livelihood & Emergency Employment Program (DILEEP) intended to augment the formation of livelihood projects and help the informal sector in the entire region to generate income. Meantime, beneficiary workers, the PTFIEU-SPFL works with a company engaged in manufacturing wood related products and other wood-related raw materials.
