Thirteen (13) Sewing machines and three (3) complete packages of Barber equipment were released to the marginalized and landless farmers of Don Francisco, Butuan City, Agusan del Norte to fuel their drive towards achieving monetary prosperity. DILP- Kabuhayan, a program of DOLE that aims to mitigate poverty among the disadvantaged workers initiated the release of starter kits to help generate and augment the small income of the beneficiaries.
November 22, 2019 was indeed a momentous day to people in Don Francisco. It was the day that they have taken the stand against the oppressions of poverty. A bursting potpourri of emotions occupied the surroundings as the excitement of the beneficiaries were emanated from their teary eyes.
Barangay Captain Jasper Gallentes deeply appreciated the people behind the successful release of the starter kits. He also made mention of the sincere effort of Regional Director Chona Mantilla thru focal person Ronnabeth Cabañez and the IMSD Chief Mr. Raymond Fel Sajor.
The successful event conducted at Don Francisco boils up into one thing: alleviating the poverty through employment.
