Amparo Integrated Farmers Association with 65 members received P492,500.00 worth of DOLE livelihood assistance for its Production of Incubated Duck Eggs Project at Barangay Amparo, Butuan City.

The project aims to enhance the capacity of every member in producing quality duck eggs and provide more income to the association’s members to sustain their daily needs.

Association Chairperson Vicente B. Almendras expressed deep gratitude for the livelihood aid, “Dako kaayo mi ug pasalamat kay isa ang among association sa nahatagan ug livelihood assistance sa DOLE. Dako kaayo ning tabang sa among Association ug sa communidad diria sa among barangay. Among ampingan ang Livelihood na among nadawat gikan sa ahensya sa DOLE. Salamat sa DOLE ug sa among Barangay na kanunay ga supporta sa among Assocation ug sa uban pa na naghatag niini nga grasya.”

The livelihood turnover was witnessed by DOLE Agusan del Norte Field Office Head Keith C. Duran and Punong Barangay Rowena C. Cantancio.

The DOLE Integrated Livelihood and Emergency Employment Programs (DILEEP) is a flagship program of the DOLE which seeks to contribute to poverty reduction and reduce the vulnerability to risks of the working poor, vulnerable and marginalized workers either through emergency employment, promotion of entrepreneurship, and community enterprises. Under its umbrella is the Kabuhayan or DOLE Integrated Livelihood Program (DILP). For this activity, the DOLE DILP aims to improve the economic activity of the family to provide for the basic needs of their children and to eliminate child labor.
