Department of Labor and Employment Caraga Regional Office conducted an orientation on New DOLE Department Order on Alien Employment Permit (AEP), Labor Laws Enforcement, OSH & Updates on Other Program held at Watergate Hotel, Butuan City on January 31-February 1, 2018.

This is a good avenue for us to reorient ourselves with the new department orders and issuances since we all work in the same office. That we don’t have to only focus on the programs we handled, but we also have knowledge of other programs and its totality.” Assistant Regional Director Naomi Lyn C. Abellana said during her Opening Message.

 DOLE Caraga Mediator-Arbiter Atty. Rechell Bazar-Apao started the orientation on D.O.174 Rules Implementing Articles 106-109 of the Labor Code Including its Clarification and the Guidelines in the Conduct of voluntary Regularization (LA No.6-17). While on the afternoon session, Senior LEO Ms. Lilibeth P Delicana discussed the Revised Rules for the Administration & Enforcement of Labor Laws. Also the attached agencies had their orientation with their programs such where Mr. Earl Dela Victoria, Board Secretary and Mr. Cornelius Mahinay, Attorney IV of RTWPB Caraga discussed the New Wage Order and Conciliation Mediation and SEnA which was discussed by Ms. Ma. Theresa M. Francisco, NCMB Caraga Director.

During the second day of orientation, the following topics were tackled: RA 9165 & Ill Effects of Dangerous Drugs, which were discussed by PDEA Caraga Assistant Regional Director Irvin John R. Coderis and Information Officer Dino Abellanosa, Revised Rules for the Issuance of Alien Employment Permit, New issuances on OSH (DO 184-17, 182-17, 178-17), Updates on SPES Guidelines, DILEEP and Child Labor Program.

The two-day orientation was attended by employees of the DOLE Caraga Regional Office and attached agencies RTWPB, ECC, NRCO and NCMB.
