Surigao del Norte- Months after the groundbreaking of Camam-onan Agripreneur Community Enterprise Village, where DOLE Surigao del Norte Provincial Office (DOLE SDNPO) facilitated the signing of Memorandum of Agreement for the individual livelihood projects under the DOLE Integrated Livelihood Program (DILP), the 52 beneficiaries of PRLEC-PTF-ELCAC from the barangays of Lahi, Sico-Sico, and Camam-onan (LASICAM), Gigaquit Surigao del Norte, received the supplies for the individual Hog Raising projects.
In the presence of Brgy. Captain, Hon. “Inday” Flor Bangga, DOLE SDN PO initiated the program for the release of the individual livelihood supplies on March 12, 2021 at Brgy. Camam-onan Hall. DOLE SDN DILP focal person Mr. Arnaldo A. Anito gave an orientation on DILP and the importance of the sustainability of the grants. Members of PRLEC-PTF-ELCAC which included Bravo Company of 30th IB, TESDA Surigao del Norte, and SDN Provincial PESO, also gave a status on the delivery of assistance of their respective agencies.
Hon. Bangga strongly emphasized in her opening message that the beneficiaries should make every effort to sustain the provision of assistance from the members of PRLEC-PTF-ELCAC and finally become free of the local armed conflicts that have caused terror to their barangays for so long.
The livelihood grant is DOLE’s counterpart to the on-going implementation of E.O. 70 thru the Provincial Poverty Reduction Livelihood and Employment Cluster and Provincial Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict (PRLEC-PTF-ELCAC) that seeks economic growth and sustainable peace to communities that are affected by insurgencies and armed conflicts.
