The Department of Labor and Employment Agusan del Norte Field Office (DOLE ADNFO) facilitated the turnover of livelihood assistance worth P120,000 to 4 individuals. Each individual received P30,000.00 worth of items and equipment based on their livelihood proposals.

Mr. Cesar S. Cayosa, a beneficiary from Barangay Libertad, Butuan City received a compressor with hose (¼ HP, 36 L capacity, & pressure 70 psi), Palm Wood Router (550W,33,000 rpm,1.4 kg & 6 mm), Electric Hand drill (60 W, 10 mm, 220 V & 60 Hz), and Electric Plainer (82 mm, 580 W & 50-60 Hz) for his furniture-making business.

Meanwhile, two individuals from Barangay Tagbuyacan, Santiago, Agusan del Norte and Barangay Libertad, Butuan City, Mr. Enecito L. Morado and Mr. Eduardo Galoy each received a large oven with temperature and 12 metal plates including one LPG-Tank with a hose & regulator for their Binangkal and Pandesal Making businesses.

A beneficiary from Barangay Banza, Butuan City, Agusan del Norte, Ms. Letecia Piollo was also awarded various kitchenware items such as an 11 kgs LPG tank with a 2-burner stove and hose, & a sack of premium rice (50kgs) for her “Carenderia” livelihood project.

“Akong dakong pasalamat kay isa ako sa nahatagan ug livelihood assistance sa DOLE. Ako isa lang ka self-employed na mag lutuay ug manuroy ug sud an ug mang manicure/pedicure. Dako kaayo ning tabang sa akong pamilya. Ako kini ampingan ug palambuon para mahatagan nako og kalambuan ang akong panginabuhian. Salamat sa DOLE ug sa LGU- PESO Butuan City ug sa uban pa naghatag niini nga grasya,” Ms. Piollo said.

DOLE Integrated Livelihood Program (DILP) or KABUHAYAN Program is one of the DOLE’s flagship programs that opens economic opportunities to the vulnerable and marginalized workers through the provision of grant assistance for capacity building on entrepreneurial ventures, for either individual or group undertaking.
