The Department of Labor and Employment Agusan del Norte Field Office (DOLE ADNFO) released Php 244,800.00 as wages to 51 Former Rebels in partnership with the 29th Infantry Batallon of Bry. Del Pilar, Cabadbaran City.
Through the Tulong Panghanapbuhay sa Ating Disadvantaged/Displaced Workers (TUPAD), each beneficiary received P4,800.00 for their 15-day work involving community-based activities such as community clean-up, gardening, and construction of their own homes in Brgy. Del Pilar, Cabadbaran City. The wages received from the TUPAD program will help improve and augment their socio-economic situation.
As the government continuously delivers quality basic services even to the most far-flung areas, the whole-of-nation approach to attaining inclusive and sustainable peace is gaining grounds exemplified by the 51 former rebels coming back to the folds of the Philippine government. Through the E-CLIP or Enhanced Comprehensive Local Integration Program of the government, former rebels will have the opportunity to be reintegrated into the community, be with their families, start their lives over and be productive members of the society.
