Butuan City – DOLE Caraga turned-over of 16 Portable WIFI Devices to the Local Government Unit (LGU) of the Municipality of Jabonga, Agusan del Norte for the implementation of the NERS Program. 15 devices were distributed to the Barangay Employment Service Offices (BESOs) while one was given to the LGU’s Public Employment Service Office (PESO).

Jabonga Mayor Hon. Napoleon M. Montero thanked DOLE Caraga and its Agusan del Norte Field Office for the items received. “We are thankful to DOLE Regional 13 and Field Office for the early Christmas gift that they have given our municipality. This equipment will greatly improve the delivery of social services of the Barangay Employment Service Offices and will greatly benefit its constituents.”

Representing DOLE Caraga during the turnover ceremony was NERS Program Coordinator Daniel L. Cultura and DOLE ADNFO Labor and Employment Officer III Reginald Mocorro.

During the activity, Mr. Mocorro underscored the relevance of having an active PESO Manager in the delivery of DOLE Services in the municipality. He lauded the accomplishments of the Jabonga PESO Manager Genelyn Aparri and encouraged her to continue being an active civil servant for the people of the municipality.

Meanwhile, NERS Program Coordinator Daniel L. Cultura discussed the guidelines of the implementation of the NERS and Mission Race Programs in the municipality. He also the provided a brief overview on the scheduled interventions for Jabonga’s Mission Race beneficiaries for the rest of 2022.

The Portable WIFI devices were given to the Barangay Local Government Units that have established Barangay Employment Service Offices and recipients of Mission Race and NERS Program of the Department of Labor and Employment.
