A request for assistance in boiling dispute about illegal dismissal was settled through Single Entry Approach (SENA) single conference last May 7.

Dharb Vibora S. Cabahug, a waiter at the same time manager, made a complaint after he was dismissed by his business partner at the same time employer Leonel Rojo of JMalls Island Tourist Inn. Cabahug was allegedly unable to receive his claim of unpaid salaries and separation benefits for terminating him without due process.

The respondent submitted in accordance with the law after thorough mediation and persuasion by the desk officer Verlan V. Diaz. The respondent agreed to pay the separation benefits and unpaid salary worth P60 thousand.

Both parties were also convinced by the DOLE attending officer to end up with absolving each other’s mistakes and gained renewed friendship bonds despite the shortcomings during the process.
