The Department of Labor and Employment sets up a Safety Seal Certification to encourage businesses to strengthen health and safety protocols in the workplace.

The Safety Seal Certification is a voluntary certification scheme that affirms that an establishment is compliant with the minimum public health standards set by the government and uses or integrates its contact tracing with

Regional Director Joffrey M. Suyao said that DOLE CARAGA continues to work closely with employers and their workers in ensuring a safe and healthy workplace.

“We put emphasis on the present dangers to health and safety and understanding of safety procedures in order to have a happier, healthier, and more productive workforce,” RD Suyao said.

Currently, DOLE CARAGA has issued 41 Safety Seal Certificates. The certificates signify that the recipient establishments in the region have complied with the minimum health standards. This implies that these businesses have placed a high priority on protecting its employees and customers alike from risks connected to COVID-19, including exposure and transmission.

“As part of the organization’s mandate, DOLE-Caraga shall continue to enforce occupational safety and health amidst this pandemic and travel restrictions. Likewise, we are fully committed to support the Inter-agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases to prevent and control Covid-19 transmission in the workplaces,” RD Suyao added.
