Dinagat Islands –  Beneficiaries from Barangay Aurelio, San Jose, Province of Dinagat Islands received DILP assistance on July 2, 2019 at the A&M MPC Function Hall, Barangay Aurelio, San Jose, Dinagat Islands. Forty-one (41) beneficiaries of Barangay Aurelio Senior Citizen Association (BASCA) was granted ?388,030.00 worth of check for their Garments and Other Related Products Making. Women’s Integrated Development & Entrepreneurial Association (WIDEA) were also awarded with ?215,300.00 worth of check for the Enhancement of Catering Services.

A memorandum agreement was entered into by and between the A&M Multi-Purpose Cooperative as the Accreditation of Co-Partner (ACP) and DOLE-Caraga for the realization of the above mentioned projects.

“In behalf of our organization, we are truly grateful for the livelihood assistance from granted to us by the DOLE. With this opportunity, we will be able to help and sustain the needs of our family,” said by one of the beneficiaries from WIDEA.

A beneficiary from BASCA also expressed her gratitude to all the DOLE personnel who mobilized all the necessary actions for the realization of the project. “Despite of our status as senior citizens, the DOLE has granted us livelihood to provide not only for ourselves but also to each of our families, and all we can say is ‘thank you’,” she said.

True to its objective to reduce poverty among the assailable, marginable and poor workers and to extend its help in amplifying the financial aspects of the beneficiaries of the respective programs, the Department of Labor and Employment Provincial Office in Dinagat Islands once more successfully turned over the check to A&M Multi-Purpose Cooperative for the “Garments and other related Products Making” to the beneficiaries of Brgy. Aurelio Senior Citizens Associations (BASCA) and “Enhancement of WIDEA Catering Services” to the beneficiaries of Women’s Integrated Development & Entrepreneurial Association (WIDEA).
