31 informal sector workers attended the Department of Labor and Employment Agusan del Sur’s (DOLE ADSFO) Y2022 Labor Day Celebration for Workers in the Informal Sector conducted in the Municipal Learning Center, Municipality of San Francisco, Province of Agusan del Sur.

Participants coming from different farmers, IP, and women organizations in various municipalities took part in the one-day training composed of discussions on selected DOLE Programs such as Registration of Workers Association (RWA) and DOLE Integrated Livelihood Program (DILP) with special topics on project proposal development, Sustainable Livelihood Framework (SLF) and Financial Literacy.

Neri, Secretary of Guadalupe United Farmers Association shared.

With the successful conduct of the activity, DOLE ADSPO shall assist the participating organizations who expressed interest in the Kabuhayan program through provision of technical assistance in project proposal development.

DOLE Integrated Livelihood Program is one of the DOLE’s flagship programs that open economic opportunities to the vulnerable and marginalized workers by providing them access to grant assistance for capacity building on entrepreneurial ventures, for either individual or group undertaking; while Registration of Worker’s Association (RWA) allows organizations who wish to become legal entity through registering under the said program. DOLE is mandated to process the application for registration of workers association organized for the mutual aid and protection of its members or other legitimate purposes.
