DOLE Caraga successfully conducted the Oath Taking Ceremony of the newly elected officers of Caraga Family Welfare Council, Inc. (CFWCI) last April 8, 2022, at ANECO Multi-Purpose Hall, Butuan City. The event was attended by the newly elected officers of CFWCI, DOLE Caraga Regional Director Joffrey M. Suyao, Technical Support Services Divion (TSSD) Chief Annie C. Tangpos, Regional FWP Focal Person Marylyn B. Saludo, and DOLE Agusan del Norte Field Office FWP Focal Person Maria Chelo R. Lucero.
RD Suyao opened the program with an inspirational message quoting “Happy Workers, Healthy Workers, Productive Workers”. He emphasized DOLE Caraga’s commitment to working, helping, guiding, and strengthening the implementation of the programs of CFWCI. He also shared one of DOLE Caraga’s main goals: to advocate the Family Welfare Council to establishments, not only those who have more than two hundred (200) employees but also those who have a lesser number of employees. RD Suyao hoped to have a harmonious relationship and partnership between DOLE Caraga and Family Welfare Council together with the CFWCI. After his message, he then led the Oath Taking Ceremony of the newly elected CFWCI Officers.
Meanwhile, the newly elected President Mr. Ricky Tabasa of Sherlock Security Agency presided over the council’s meeting. The officers of the council discussed and shared their ideas and plans of the council in partnership with DOLE. They also discussed conducting activities and encouraging other private sectors to be part of the council and strengthen the council’s linkages. Some of the activities they would like to do are learning sessions, seminars about the Family Welfare Program, and its importance to encourage private companies to join the council. It was also suggested to conduct activities relevant to the current situation brought about by the pandemic.
In closing, Mr. Darwin T. Daymiel, President of ANECO Corporation, manifested full support to the council, highlighting the importance of the council and its benefits to its members and their families.
DOLE Caraga pledged to work hand in hand with the council in materializing all the proposed plans. Activities that were conducted in the previous years were also presented during the meeting along with the detailed financial statement.
