Last April 28, 2022, the Department of Labor and Employment Caraga together with the Occupational Safety and Health Center (OSHC) Caraga-Regional Extension Unit awarded safety seal certificates to five establishments to commemorate this year’s World Day for Safety and Health at Work.

The recipients were Orgon Wood Industries, Inc., M.U.P. Delivery and Trucking Services, Coca-Cola Beverages Philippines, Inc., EarthWorks Trading and Equipment Rental-Taganito, and Orica Philippines, Incorporated.

The awardees expressed gratitude to DOLE Caraga and OSHC for the assistance provided in their application for certification.They committed to sustain the strict observance of safety and health protocols in their workplaces to ensure the welfare of their workforce.

DOLE Caraga Regional Director Joffrey M. Suyao encourages the establishments in Caraga to apply for the Safety Seal Certification for the welfare of the employees and the public. To date, DOLE Caraga has released safety seal certificates to 47 businesses in the region.

The Safety Seal Certification is a voluntary certification scheme that affirms that an establishment is compliant with the minimum public health standards set by the government and uses or integrates its contact tracing with StaySafe.ph. The DOLE issues the Safety Seal for the manufacturing, construction sites, utilities (electric, water, gas, air conditioning supply, sewerage, waste management), Information and Communication companies (private publication, news, movie production, TV and radio companies), warehouses, and Information Technology – Business Process Management establishments.
