The Department of Labor and Employment Caraga through its Agusan del Norte Field Office turned over Php 998,000.00 worth of livelihood assistance to the members of Agusan del Norte Electricians Multi-Purpose Cooperative for its Electrical Trading and Services project.

Through the grant received, the association can easily render their services and offer cheaper electrical materials to customers, elevating their economic status in the long-run.

“Mapasalamaton mi kay isa ang among Cooperative sa nahatagan ug livelihood assistance sa DOLE. Kami sa Cooperative among paningkamutan na mulambo pa aron sa mahatagan namo ug bili ang proyekto na among nadawat ug labi na sa mga myembro na kabos ug pobre maga hatag kini sa ilaha ug dugang panginabuhian,” the Cooperative’s Vice-Chairperson Rafael B. Ybanez shared.

DOLE ADNFO Head Keith C. Duran reminded to beneficiaries the importance of working together with their Barangay to sustain the project, “The project should be managed by the members in cooperation with the Barangay so that it would remain and serve its purpose to the members and also to the community.”

The DOLE Integrated Livelihood Program (DILP) or Kabuhayan Program is the department’s contribution to the governments’ agenda of inclusive growth through massive job generation and substantial poverty reduction.
