DOLE Agusan del Sur Provincial Office participated in the distribution of assistance from Senator Bong Go for the fire victims of Brgy. 1, San Francisco, Agusan del Sur on September 10, 2020.
The event was facilitated by the Office of the Special Assistant of the President (OSAP) headed by its Mindanao area director Mr. Rodrigo B, Giducos. Together with other participating agencies, DOLE ADSPO presented the programs of the office that the victims can avail. Senior Labor Inspector Engr. Maximo Magallen highlighted the livelihood assistance of DOLE Integrated Livelihood Program (DILP) and the emergency employment under the Tulong Pangkabuhayan Para sa Displaced/Disadvantaged Workers (TUPAD) #PostCOVID Program. He explained that the said programs part of the governments’ initiatives to help poor and marginalized Filipinos including displaced workers due to inevitable tragedies and calamities like the pandemic Covid-19, fire, flood, company bankruptcy among others. He highlighted the testimonies of DILP and TUPAD beneficiaries declaring that the programs were able to help improve their economic situation and provide the needs of their family.
At the end of the event, the fire victims received not only the relief goods but were also made aware of the assistance that the province can provide from different government agencies, which able to give them hope despite of the calamity.
DOLE ADSPO continues to live out its commitment to serve the province and offer the departments’ services and programs in any opportunity they can.
