True to its commitment of preventing and progressively eliminating child labor in Agusan del Sur, the Department of Labor and Employment Agusan del Sur Field Office (DOLE ADSFO) conducted a capacity-building seminar and workshop for its newly-hired Child Labor Prevention and Elimination Program (CLPEP) advocates.
Nine (9) enumerators and three (3) encoders underwent a comprehensive learning session and discussion regarding CLPEP and related laws and issuances embedded with interactive simulations and insightful activities. They were also oriented on the guidelines of the department’s Kabuhayan or DOLE Integrated Livelihood Program (DILP) and Emergency Employment or Tulong Panghanapbuhay sa Ating Disadvantaged/Displaced Workers (TUPAD) – programs which parents of child labor may avail of directly from DOLE.
DOLE ADSFO’s enumerators will be deployed in selected municipalities that will perform a grass-roots-house-to-house approach in identifying and profiling child laborers. On the other hand, encoders will be entrusted to input, maintain, and ensure that the CLPEP database is updated for more efficient referral and provision of necessary assistance.
DOLE ADSFO aims to achieve its 2022 provincial CLPEP profiling and referral target by the end of October 2022.
