The Department of Labor and Employment Agusan del Sur Field Office shared the DOLE programs and services to the Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) employers of Agusan del Sur during a forum held last July 18, 2022 at Ernielita’s Event and Dormitel, Patin-ay, Prosperidad, Agusan del Sur. The forum is part of the celebration of the National MSME Week 2022 duly facilitated by the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Agusan del Sur.
Engr. Rey P. Dumalaba from DOLE ADSFO imparted information and updates on the department’s activities and programs to MSME employers. Included in his discussion were Information on Labor Education, recent wage hikes, policies and guidelines, and best practices being indulged by the Field Office to the employers (i.e. facilitation of Safety Officer Training and First Aid Training for OSH Compliances and in-house or municipal level information drive for Labor Education).
Provincial Governor Hon. Santiago B. Cane emphasized the importance and contribution of MSMEs to economic growth and poverty alleviation, and lauded the participating government agencies present for the knowledge shared during the program.
The forum was partnered with and attended by representatives from the Provincial SMED Council, Social Security System (SSS), Philhealth, and the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR). The MSME Week also staged the Stakeholder’s Forum, Youth Forum, Enterpreknow Quiz, and Seminar on Social Media Marketing.
