Butuan City – DOLE Caraga Regional Coordinating Council spearheaded the SEADO Training held at the Grand Palace Hotel, Capitol Drive, Butuan City on September 26-27, 2018. The three-day training was attended by around forty-seven (47) participants coming from the DOLE and its attached agencies such as NCMB, POEA, OWWA, NLRC, ECC, OSHC and NRCO.

Gracing the activity were the RCC Heads and the Chairman DOLE Caraga Regional Director Chona M. Mantilla who gave opening message, she encouraged the participants to do well and grasp the importance of Single Entry Approach (SEnA) Program in order to deliver excellent service to the public particularly the workers and employers in the private sector. Regional Director Mantilla presented the region’s exemplary performance under SENA Program from January 2017-August 2018.

Different topics on issues related to SEnA and conciliation-mediation were discussed by the speakers coming from DOLE, NCMB and other attached agencies. Discussion on the General Labor Standards and latest issuances of the department were likewise provided.

NCMB 7 Director Edmundo T. Mirasol discussed on Concilitation-Mediation Techniques, Process & Behavioral Skills and Taming emotion in handling Con-Med Proceedings.

The highlight of the two-day activity is the mock conciliation-mediation presented by two groups followed by a positive critiquing from ARD Naomilyn C. Abella, Atty. Rechelle Apao, RD Chona M. Mantilla and Director Mirasol.

Single Entry Approach is an administrative approach to provide a speedy, impartial, inexpensive and accessible settlement procedure of all labor issues or conflicts to prevent them from ripening into full-blown disputes.
