In celebration of the 15th Charter Day of Bayugan City, the Department of Labor and Employment Agusan del Sur Field Office (DOLE ADSFO) in partnership with the Local Government Unit (LGU) of Bayugan City and its Public Employment Service Office (PESO), conducted the 2022 Job Fair partnered with the Boyad Roadshow held at the LGU’s City Hall lobby.

City Mayor Hon. Kirk A. Asis attended the opening activities and led the pledging of commitment in support of the Department’s Child Labor and Prevention Program (CLPEP). Representatives from the umbrella agencies of the Department of Migrant Workers (DMW) who were present during the event also showed support for the said program.

For the Job Fair, more than 400 job vacancies were up for grabs from 4 overseas recruitment agencies and 12 local employers. Of the 167 job seekers who participated, 134 qualified and 48 or 35.8% were hired on the spot.

Both the Child Labor Prevention and Elimination (CLPEP), a program that conducts nationwide profiling of child laborers to identify the children who will be referred to appropriate agencies or organizations, and Job Fair, an employment facilitation strategy that aims for a fast and efficient meeting of jobseekers and employers or overseas recruitment agencies in one venue at a specific date, are core programs of DOLE committed to champion the cause of the labor sector and the business sector for decent work and economic growth.
