To expand the dissemination and importance of the fight against child labor, the Boyad Roadshow reaches another leg at New Maug Elementary School (NMES), marking the first partnership of the Department of Labor and Employment Agusan del Sur Field Office (DOLE ADSFO) with the Department of Education Division of Agusan del Sur (DepEd-ADS).

Taking part in the school’s Brigada Skwela, the Child Labor Prevention and Elimination Program (CLPEP) Team, headed by Labor and Employment Officer III Josel-An E. Dua, thoroughly discussed the objectives, related laws, and policies, and the emphasis on preventing and eliminating child labor in Agusan del Sur Province. The “Anti-Bullying Act” was also tackled to address the concern timely for the start of a new school year.

To mark the partnership, Ms. Dua led the Pledge of Commitment to support the department’s programs, followed by the hand stamping and signing on the commitment wall by the School Head I, Ms. Rachel Gilos, NMES faculty, and parents.

DOLE ADSFO progressively advocates the purpose of BOYAD Roadshow in achieving a child-labor-free Philippines.
