Butuan City – Being the central human resource agency of the Philippine government, the Civil Service Commission (CSC) Agusan del Norte Office conducted the PRIME-HRM assessment to DOLE Caraga on February 12, 2019 in preparation to achieving the PRIME-HRM Level II at the DOLE Caraga Regional Office.
The Program to Institutionalize Meritocracy and Excellence in Human Resource Management (PRIME-HRM) is a mechanism that empowers government agencies by developing their human resource management competencies, systems, and practices toward HR excellence. It integrates and enhances the Personnel Management Assessment and Assistance Program (PMAAP) and the CSC Agency Accreditation Program (CSCAAP)
It has three stages: Assess, Assist and Award. For the first stage, 3 assessors from the Commission conducted the assessment with the HRMO Designate of DOLE Caraga Ms. Blessil Betsy B. Suarez, who organized thoroughly the necessary documents.
“As an HR Designate, the program is very challenging but in a positive way. This program entails greater engagement not just of the human resource management officer (HRMO) but also of the officials and the rank-and-file employees of the agency.”, Ms. Suarez implied.
Through PRIME-HRM, the Department is looking forward for an HR-Management Transformation, transitioning from a transactional to a strategic management.
