The first batch of beneficiaries consisting of 48 security guards formerly employed in Ultimate Shield Security Agency finally received their back pay from unpaid overtime and holiday pay from 2012 to 2017.

The back pay was a result of a labor inspection conducted at Cagdianao Mining Corporation (CMC) in 2017 at Barangay Valencia, Cagdianao, Province of Dinagat Islands.

The management of Cagdianao Mining Corporation (CMC) made the payment to the beneficiaries acknowledging its solidary liability with the said security agency.

Beneficiaries received their back pay on October 3, 2019, at Cagdianao Mining Corporation (CMC) at Barangay Valencia, Cagdianao, Province of Dinagat Islands. The amount involved was P712,367.91.

“Ang management sa CMC naningkamot nga maihatag sa atong mga guwardiya ang angay ug sakto alang kanila, kini inubanan sa atong pakighiusa sa Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE).” Darlito BoraquitCMC, HR Manager.

The staff of DOLE-PDI spearheaded by the Provincial Head, Mr. Verlan V. Diaz, facilitated the release of funds.

Roberto Antipasado, Detachment Commander.
