In celebration of the 115th Labor Day, 50 local and overseas employers attended the said activity and a total of 148 applicants, were Hired-On-the-Spot (HOTS) out of 620 jobseekers present as of 5pm, during the Job and Business Fairs at Robinson’s Place Atrium, Butuan City last May 1, 2017.

Representatives from 37 different local employers, 10 overseas employers and three (3) from government agencies actively participated the said job and business fairs or dubbed as ‘Trabaho, Negosyo, Kabuhayan’ (TNK).

From the local employers, these are:  Gaisano-Interpace, Inc., Toyota Butuan, E-Performax, Taytay sa Kauswagan, Inc., Happy Enterprise, LBC Express, Lime & Zest, Robinson’s Retail Group, L.C. Ting Construction, Ventura Plywood, Romarate Group of Companies, Wing-on, Inc., Agusan Lending Corp., Global Easy Hardware, MSS Cycle Trading, ACLC Butuan, D’Best Value Products, Celebes Group of Company, Richmond Plywood Corp., Reliance Transcription & Info Tech Corporation and others.

Meanwhile, for private recruitment agencies: Online Hiring Corporation, Eastern Overseas Employment Center, Inc., and I-Rekruit Manpower, Inc.

Jobs from the different sectors such as construction, manufacturing, BPO Industries, wholesale & retail, manpower services and trade were made available for job seekers.

Also, the Arm Forces of the Philippines, Philippine National Police (PNP) and Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) graced the activity to offer jobs to willing applicants.

One of those locally hired-on-the-spot was Jester Macasero, applying for Medical Transcriptionist at Reliance Transcription & Info Tech Corp. “I am truly blessed to have this job and be hired immediately. I did not know I can make it like this fast. I am even more thankful to DOLE Caraga for having this job fair since it surely helped a lot of jobseekers, especially in Butuan.”, said Macasero.

Aside from the Hired-On-The-Spot (HOTS), there were also 32 applicants referred to TESDA for Skills Training, 10 applicants for Livelihood Assistance, 61 were referred to DTI for Business Opportunity and 146 were being referred to other participating agencies. ©kav
