100 JobStart trainees of DOLE and the Provincial Government of Agusan del Sur began their online Life Skills Training (LST) for JobStart Philippines Program 2022 roll-out.

The registration and selection of trainees were on a first-come, first-serve basis which took place in the PESO office in the Provincial Government of Agusan del Sur and Hillsview Restaurant and Inland Resort on July 13-19, 2022. To meet the demands of the new normal brought by the COVID-19 pandemic, the program shifted to digitalizing its processes and developed a platform involving a blended approach for LST to cater to jobstart trainees. The trainees were provided internet allowance worth P200.00 and given ten days to complete their LST through the JobStart Learning Management System (LMS). The JobStart LMS consists of thirty-seven (37) modules which include the pre-and post-training assessments.

After finishing the training, trainees are expected to have a better understanding of their inner selves, recognize their unique abilities, align their life goals and purposes, plan their career path, and prepare for job interviews.

The JobStart’s Life Skills Training is a program designed to strengthen the values and skills of aspiring youth and enhance their employability.
