SRO-CARP organization receives P1 Million Livelihood Assistance from DOLE

Surigao del NorteSIMPUCO Farmers Association, a beneficiary organization of  San Isidro Multi-Purpose Coorperative in Gigaquit, Surigao del Norte, received financial assistance amounting to One Million Pesos from the Department of Labor and Employment on August 5, 2020. The said amount which is sourced from DOLE Integrated Livelihood Program (DILP) is intended to procure pre and post harvest facilities for the farmer-members of the beneficiary association.  DOLE Surigao del Norte provided technical assistance in the preparation and evaluation of project proposals through its Self Reliant Organization-Comprehensive Agrarian Reform Program (SRO-CARP) presently implemented in San Isidro, Gigaquit, Surigao del Norte.

A ceremonial turnover was conducted at SIMPUCO Office. Ms. May C. Velonta, the DOLE-SDNPO Provincial Head and her SRO-CARP technical staff spearheaded the activity and graced by Hon. Ma. Luz Eupeña, Barangay Captain of San Isidro, Mr. David Nueda, PESO Manager of LGU-Gigaquit, Mr. Roberto P. Naraja, Chairman of SIMPUCO and members of SIMPUCO Farmers Association.

Unta mapalambo ini nato na grant para jaon pay musunod”.  Said Mr. Martinario Enario, SIMPUCO Farmers Association President, during his acceptance message.

The Self-Reliant Organizations for Comprehensive Agrarian Reform Program (SRO-CARP) Project is a special project implemented and managed by the Bureau of Workers with Special Concerns (BWSC). The said project is DOLE’s contribution to the government's agrarian reform program.
