3,121 Surigao del Norte TUPAD BKBK beneficiaries receive 10,037,102 worth of salary

DOLE Surigao del Norte Provincial Office released the salaries of 3,121 beneficiaries amounting to P10,037,120.00 for the Tulong Pangkabuhayan para sa Displaced/ Disadvantage (TUPAD) Workers #BarangayKoBahayKo (#BKBK) Program. The payout of salaries was completed on May 4, 2020 in cooperation with LGUs and PESOs in the province.

150 of the above mentioned beneficiaries were INdigenous People (IPs) from LGU Malimono. To date, there are 2,950 beneficiaries in the province who are working in their respective barangays for the on going implementation of TUPAD #BKBK.

TUPAD #BKBK is one of the programs of the government facilitated by DOLE to aid the informal sector workers who are affected by the current pandemic COVID-19. The beneficiaries are reuiqred to work four (4) hours a day for 10 days performing disinfection/ sanitation in their houses and immediate vicinity within the barangay.
